bastiantechnologies.com is a personal site owned and operated by Shanel Bastian. By using it you accept these terms — they're short, written in plain English, and apply to everything on the site: the homepage, the writing, and the client-side tools at /projects/pdf-tools/.
What you can do
- Read, share, and quote the writing with attribution.
- Use the file tools for any lawful purpose — personal or commercial. They run in your browser; you keep your files.
- Link to any page on the site without asking.
What you can't do
- Republish entire posts as your own.
- Scrape the site at a rate that disrupts service for others.
- Use the tools to process content that's illegal where you are, or that violates someone else's rights.
- Probe, attack, or attempt to exploit the site, its CDN dependencies, or its Supabase backend.
No warranty
The site and tools are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Headings, libraries, browsers, and CDN providers change — things may break. The tools are best-effort utilities, not certified software. Quick Sign in particular is a visual signature only, not a qualified e-signature; it has no legal weight on its own. Anything important — always verify the output independently.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shanel Bastian is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or tools — including lost files, corrupted output, lost time, missed deadlines, or any third-party claim. Total liability, if anywhere asserted, is capped at €0 (the price you paid).
Third-party services
The site loads JavaScript and fonts from CDNs (jsdelivr, cdnjs, unpkg, Google Fonts), uses Supabase for read-only blog and projects data, runs on Railway hosting, and includes Google Analytics on marketing pages. Each is governed by its own terms.
Changes
These terms can change. Material changes will bump the "Last updated" stamp at the top of this page. Continued use after changes counts as acceptance.
Governing law
Disputes are governed by the laws of Italy and resolved in the courts of Milan, Italy — without prejudice to any non-waivable consumer protections of your home jurisdiction.
